My brother got married ........ back in April 2000 ... he married my
best friend :) .................... I started a sampler for them ...
'started' being the operative word ... I am very embarrassed to say it
got put aside ... and then forgotten ........ but I have now finished it
(yey) I had a blitz on it in January and completed it within a few
weeks.
I made most of it up as I went along ... and am so pleased its now finished.
I framed it on Sunday ... I hope they like it ... just need to deliver it now ...
... lets hope that doesn't take another 12 years (eeek)

WHOOOOO! 2lb off :)Thank you Weight Watchers OnLine, you seem to be working!
It is amazing how losing a few pounds can make you even more determined!
In a way, last week was week 1 again ... but I guess the struggle is part of the story.
The secret does seem to be writing down what you eat ... I am rubbish at it, but I have been better this week than ever before:)
can you see that I am 2lb slimmer .... I don't think its gone off my face ;) haha
I am a total last minute packer.
I drink lots of tea.
I like a wide variety of music ... this probably means I have bad music taste, but I don't care!
I can not holler-hoop (or is it hooler-hoop?)
I can not spell (see above!)
I enjoy my own company.
I don't like sweetcorn.
I can write backward (mirror writing)
I have always liked pink.
I am a home-body, but I also love traveling!
I am very weak willed when it comes to chocolate.
I love my iPhone ... but I think you already know that as I have blogged about it for the last 3 years! haha
I can not go to bed early no matter how hard I try.
.... we have babies coming this year ... not me personally, but in the
family ... as my one weakness is wool, I thought the best thing to do
would be buy a mixture of baby colours and then I am covered for every
eventuality!
They are not colours I normally have in my wool basket ... prefer stronger colours, but for babies, these are very sweet.
I made a start on Friday night ... rainbow squares for a blanket ... am using a nice big needle so its growing quickly :)
... so what are you making at the moment?

This was the photo from the listing ... it arrived so filthy that when I started washing it, what I thought was paint was just smoke-dirt ....... and it STINKs ... stinks of smoke ... anyway it all came off ... paint and dirt and all.
Not sure I want to keep it now, and I definitely won't be using it for salt.
My nice buy though, was these pretty pink glass candle sticks ...
You know what a sucker I am for some pink glass ...
and they were only 99p on eBay :)

This makeover is going slow isn't it!!! haha ....... I have been working lots of extra days in the last few weeks and my focus has not been on my diet :/ But I have made a decision ... plodding along on my own has not been working ... so I have signed up with Weight Watchers OnLine.
Happy dieting if you are on one and happy munching if you are not!

I would hold Dilly-dog back while she tried to welcome you in her own lovely way ;)
I would move Dilly-dog's blanket off the comfy chair so you could sit down.
I would offer you a cuppa tea and apologize that we have no biscuits in the house.
I would ask you how your day has been.
I would tell you that I have just signed up to Weight Watchers OnLine and that I really hope it works.
I would tell you about the re-fit at work and how stunning it looks there now!
I would ask you if you had found any great bargains recently.
I would share my worries about not managing to get much of my photography course work done recently and that I feel like I am falling behind on all my projects.
I would tell you that I was looking forward to the Spring.
I would get Dilly-dog to do her roll-over party trick for you.
I would confess that I am really enjoying watching The Lying Game on C5 ;)
I would probably offer you another cup of tea, as I drink lots!
I would hope we could do it again!

Welcome to another 'Tips and Wrinkles' ... here I will pass on some useless and hopefully useful tips ...
I suffer from chronic glandular fever ... this means that as I have mentioned before, I have glands up most of the time and some constantly. The right side of body is worse effected and the ache and pain is sometime so bad especially in my arm. My mum has been wearing a copper bangle for her joints for years, and just before Christmas I decided to try one myself ... copper with magnets ...
My wrist is pretty small so even though its the narrowest one I could get, I had to squash it up (and it is very hard to bend!) ... which means I can't take it off at night ... so I have it on all the time.
I did find that having a solid bangle on my wrist really annoying though ... I am not used to it and although close to my skin, it catches on everything and clunks against my wrist. I did take it off a few weeks ago for a couple of days ... I can't say that the pain returned in just 2 days, but I was aware of my arm and a slight ache so I put it back on.
I have decided to try one that has links in, so should be more comfortable. It is a bit more expensive (the copper one was £2.99 and this one is £9.99) This new one also has more magnets so may work even better!
Do you have aches and pains?? why not try one!

I have lost a pound .... whooop whooop ... its been a long 5 weeks and I am sick of all the ups and downs ... want to stay on the downs now and continue to lose. I have been very good this week and really tried not to eat in the evening, which I know is what has made the difference.
I have mentioned before that I want to get a tattoo ... and I have decided that every pound I lose I will put £1 aside and save up to have one done once I get to my target. I am pretty sure that I will have something with lace ... being a lacemaker it is special to me and lets face it, its just super-duper-pretty ... I spied this one a few months ago ... white lace ... and I love it!
They were pretty grimy when they arrived ... and the cork stoppers were so hard and brittle, they broke when I tried to get them out ... took me ages to get all the bits out that had gone up inside the body ... so I need to buy new stoppers ... but they are now all washed and clean ....... and oh so sweet :)
They were only 99p so I am very happy!

This week the shop where I work part time is having a complete make over ... a total re-fit ... change of name and everything ... its going to be great, but its got me thinking about my old shop ... I used to have a gift shop in Redruth, Cornwall selling my handmade jewellery, cards and other hand made and fair trade gifts. I have dug out some photos to show you ...
I can't believe it was 10 years ago ... I loved having it and had some lovely customers ... one of whom I bumped into last month ... and she remembered me even though I am now in a totally different county.
... this is the window ... looking in from the outside ...
... my till area and seating for tired customers ...
... my greetings card ...
... fair trade gifts ...
... my dad built my shop fittings and most of the stands ...
... under the window ...
