I managed to watch
TANGLED last night ... I have been meaning to for ages ... aww what a lovely film ... beautifully drawn and what a sweet story ... there is nothing wrong with slightly fancying a cartoon man is there ;) hehe
I also LOVE the
princess and the frog ... the music in that is brilliant :)
I have been getting lots of posts ready this week ... craft posts :) ... I am so excited for what I have planned ... blogging really is like a full time job ... but I do love it ... it is silly really because its only a small amount of people who read it or look at my blogs, but I do love them ... I love making pretty graphics and having ideas for them ... I love being part of the blogging world and all the lovely people you meet.
Here is a random thought ... about maxi dresses ... not sure if I love them or not ... they are great for when you are not being so good on your diet as they stretch with you and you don't realise that you are over-eating ... which when we want to have a munch-time is great ... they hide a lot ... and are comfy ............ so not so good when you have little will power, but want to be good .... like me at the moment .............. I guess I will have to stop hiding behind (or in) the floaty dresses! ... wish me luck!
After all the lovely colours of Spring, everything just went very green, so it is lovely to see some colour again!
More china this week .... this lovey cup, saucer and tea plate ... I don't think the saucer originally went with the set, but its so close that it matches. It was £1.50, made by Royal Doulton.
I have been on the hunt for dinner plate size plates so was very pleased to find this one for £2 ... most I have seen have been £3+. It has Alfred Meakin, England on the back ... never heard of him!
... and this blue one only £1, made by Colclough from my favourite shop No.14
and this pretty little blue tea plate ... it was only £2
I also stocked up on some free newspaper DVD's ... these are great little buys from charity shops, they usually just ask you just give a donation for them (I usually give 50p per DVD ... cos I then give them back to the charity shop after a few weeks!)
I was very pleased to find
Swallows and Amazons ... I loved it when I was a child and cos we used to live in the lake district too it is extra special ;)
Happy thrifting!

This last few weeks haven't been great ... nothing bad has happened, but I have just not felt with it or able to feel like I was getting anything done ... I feel like I have lost focus and in a daze ... days drift by and I am not getting done what I want to get done. My diet that was going so well at the beginning of the year seems to be a lot of hard work to just go up a pound/down a pound since Easter. and all in all I have been feeling a little blue :(
On Monday night I decided I needed a break from dieting and would start again in a few weeks when I was in the right head-space ... so I duly went to Morrisons and stocked up on things I haven't eaten all year ... (well maybe I have had a few occasionally, but not all at once) ... things like bakewell tart, chocolate, white bread, honey-nut loops and crisps. So that was what I've eaten over the last couple of days ... not excessively ... not binging ... not a lot compared with some ... but you know what ... I feel horrid ... physically horrid ... after just 2 and a half days I feel sluggish (more than before!!)
I've also had headaches the last few days .... I guess I am not used to the sugar. And this morning I woke up and was trying to think of every way I could to get out of walking to town and back (which I do about 3 or 4 times a week ... its only half an hour each way) but this morning I looked up bus times and wished I had a car again. I could have got the bus and if I was quick in town be back in less than an hour, but I didn't ... I walked ... and I am so glad that I did.
as soon as I stepped outside and felt the sunshine I knew it was a good choice ... it was so warm, my backache went and it was lovely ...
... I know I need to snap myself out of it ... I need to re-focus and start again. I haven't done any course work for the last week and my to-do list is not even getting looked at ... I need to get back on the diet-wagon and maybe make myself a time-table (or is that too much like school?? hehe) ... I need a big face-slap ... or maybe I need a holiday ;)
Sorry if this post is a bit of a ramble .. a bit of a moan ... its just me re-focusing and hopefully getting back on track!
week 46

Look what my mum got me a few weeks ago ... for 25p!!! from a summer fete ... pretty plate ... love it ... thank you mum x
and I have been on eBay again ... this time pretty doilies ...
These were only £1.20 for 6 .... they have handmade lace around them and perfect for a little project that I have in mind ... watch this space!
And these beautiful round ones were only £1.04 for 4 ... from the same seller
They are really beautiful and I am still deciding if I can bear to cut them up and do what I was planning on doing with them or just keep them as they are!
But I am very please with them :D
.... and then I spied these in the charity shop ...
6 tea plates ... 30p each! 'Fragrance' by Royal Stafford
My tea set is coming on nicely ... need some dinner plates and more bowls now really!

... well it's all over ... their flying visit is over ... they have gone :(
We had a lovely day though and Kara and I did our nails ... she had every nail a different colour with flowers on each one
... and I had lighting scars for going to see Harry Potter ...
... which was GREAT by the way ... Considering they missed so much out of The Half Blood Prince, I think they did a good job of getting it all into this one. Favourite bit include Mollie Weesley/Bellatrix Lestrange dual, Snapes memories and seeing who acted Aberforth Dumbledore :)
Hope you all had a lovely Saturday
♩♪♫♬ 'I'm so excited and I just can't hide it' ♬♫♪♩
... despite getting a big spot come up above my lip
... despite spilling tea on my mouse and it's now totally bust
... despite ruining my diet by having a little trip to the garage and eating chocolate, sweets and cheesy-snacks
... so why am I excited? because today is going to be a lovely day ... my brother, sister-in-law, niece and crazy-pup are coming to stay ... we are going to catch up on lots of chat, have a BBQ and go an see HARRY POTTER (ahhhh!) I can't wait ...
