a chat with GINA from NATURAL BASE PRODUCTS

Gina is a lovely friend from Cornwall ... she has a new on-line business NATURAL BASED PRODUCTS for making your own cosmetics. She also has a lovely blog full of her crafty adventures and thoughts, please pop by and follow her! Her facebook group is a great way to hear her latest news and if you want to tweet at her, she would love you to say hi! @Clarityhaze

8 words that most describe you?
Family, loyal, quiet, Christian, writer, dreamer, cellist, swimmer.

What do you make?
Natural cosmetics. I make them in bulk and then sell on to other businesses. I am also a maker and crafter of sentences!

What new craft would you like to try?
This is hard to answer because now I have images of a table covered in dress-making materials, hands squeezing a wet-clay pot, and me patiently piping icing onto a dense, fruit cake. I am a bit fickle. And I wouldn't say no to a wine tasting course either.

When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
Don't laugh. It sounds crazy, but I wanted to be a scientist. I had a strong interest in stars, planets and space.

Do you have any scars? how did you get it/them?
My right, middle finger has a long bump where I once cut it. I did it while outbacking near Uluru on a safari trip. The campsite was full of red backs and the heat was unbelievable. I actually had the accident when trying to chop an onion with a blunt knife (but somehow putting in context of a dangerous expedition makes it sounds more fun).

Were you named after anyone?
Christina Georgina Rosetti, a Christian writer. My mother swapped the first two around to read Georgina Christina.

What was your favourite toy as a child?
Pac Man.

Whats your favourite ice-cream flavour?
Coffee.

I hope you enjoyed meeting Gina and will pop by and say hi to her x
