so I emailed Dilly's breeders a few days ago to ask if they had any photos of her when she was even more teeny-weeny than she is now ... and they sent me these ... this was her the day she was born ... look she had that little white fleck on the top of her head and the white patch on her nose ...
this was the whole litter, 3 girls and 4 boys ... Dilly is the little brown one in the middle half lying on her big brother ... or is that big sister ... you can see the little fleck on the top of her head there too :)
she also sent me a photo of her mum and dad ... Jess is the one looking back ... you can see she is pregnant ... and Digby is the one looking forward ... good looking couple eh!! haha
I am so pleased to have these photos ... its amazing to see how much she has grown in 8 weeks
I know I can't help it ... more photos coming up ... taken with my phone ...
time for a new collar and doesn't she look smart ...
she does sleep in funny positions!!
now you have to admit ... these are the cutest photos EVER ...
I think everyone should have a puppy ... look at those pretty eyes!
She has been to the vets for her first set of jabs ... she still can't go out for a walk till her 2nd set next week, but I took her to my friends house to meet up with her doggies. She was so good and they loved her :)
yes I am still in love ... and the sun has been shining today too, so we spent most of the day playing in the garden.
Dilly was great last night, didn't cry for her mum like all the puppy books said she would ... I think thats cos she knows I am her mummy now ;) ... and she came back in the middle of the night, when I let her out to do a wee.
she is just soooo edible!
well this has to be the best day ever ... EVER!!
I got her ... little Dilly-dog ... her name totally suits her ... I am sitting here with her on my lap and her head resting on my laptop ... I have just emailed my Auntie 'guess what I have' kinda email :D
Bex, my sister in law came with me to pick her up ... I called her late last night, squealed down the phone, so they all came over here this morning ... Bex and I went over to visit her and pay a deposit ... we then raced into town and I spent a small fortune buying doggy things ... crate, bed, food, lead, bowls etc ... I was very excited ... we then popped home for a quick lunch and back to pick her up. Bex held her as I was driving and she was so good (dilly-dog was too! haha!!!) ... mind you its only about 10 mins down the road.
Once back home we all went out into the garden to watch her explore ...
I am a bit worried about letting her out at night ... will she come back when I call her and it will be dark and I wont be able to find her ... but oh, she is so sweet and good and hardly had any accidents ... I LOVE HER!!
(these last couple are taken on my phone)
I really am ... I have never been this excited before ... cos guess what ... tomorrow I am getting a puppy!! a gorgeous little chocolate brown cocker spaniel puppy that is all squiffy and cute and lovely and I so can't wait ... look ... here she is ...
this is the picture taken from
the listing where I found her ... I have been looking at this litter for a couple of weeks ... wishing and hoping ... and when I looked today they only had 2 left ... and one was a girl ... and I knew in my heart that she was mine ... and guess what ... they are only down the road in the next village!!
what do you think of Dilly-Dolly-Dandelion for a name? I know it is a bit like Milly-Molly-Mandy, but that's kinda my inspiration!
